New Times!

VBS has been going on at church since Sunday so Jennifer P. and I have been unable to get walks in the evenings. Monday I did walk with my friend Jill a smidge over 4 miles, but not in note worthy time. Regardless, 4 miles is still 4 to be proud of! I am.

I've been missing the walks. Bayleigh had a game tonight and we celebrated her win and individual success with dinner. When we got home I was feeling so guilty and asked Bayleigh if she would walk with me. I told her we could race the dark. She agreed! My picture times don't reflect what I'm about to tell you, but I watched the time when it rolled over to mile 1 and the time when it rolled over to mile 2 and did the math.

Ok, to date, Jennifer's and my best mile time was 16:53. Tonight, mile 1 for me was 16:45! Mile 2 rolled over at 32:25, meaning it was a 15.8 mile!!!! YAY! I kept feeling like I was slowing on mile 2 so I really pushed to not do so. Bayleigh, 8.5 yrs old was so supportive and encouraging. She had to jog to keep up but she never complained and kept cheering me on. Just under half way through my walk, my BFF texted me a pic from her evening out of the sky--she sent it when I was in my moment of taking in our gorgeous night walk here too! I'll post her pic too!
